VIP at NYU stands for Vertically Integrated Project, which is a program in place that aims to give students an understanding of their coursework outside of the classroom through hands-on work. I have been a part of the 3D printed biomedical devices team since my first semester at NYU and am currently a team lead. I work alongside a team of multidisciplinary students and advisors to develop economic and effective medical devices, typically for underrepresented demographics. Past projects include a tablet stylus adaptor, and a WREX wheelchair arm support. Our current project aims to support the elderly population in NYC with kyphosis.
