My role in the Biomedical Devices VIP team has taught me about the prototyping process, asking important design questions, and creating relevant solutions that stem from genuinely present issues.

My role as a writing consultant highlights my ability to produce cohesive and concise communications as well as relay complex and highly-analytical material to other people (in this case, students).

Traveling and working with people from different walks of life taught me about identifying and respecting cultural differences and understanding cultural connotations that surround systems and their likeliness of success.

One of the most significant portions of my identity is being a leader. Through many different roles I've served as a leader and studied leadership theory. These experiences have taught me how to make swift, effective decisions under pressure, delegate tasks efficiently, and foster strong collaboration by connecting with and motivating those I work alongside.

Outside of my role as a student, I give myself time find my people and where I can be creative. Dancing has given me a space to find lifelong friends and appreciate the power of art and community.

I stay actively involved in my school not only because these experiences help me grow and develop new skills, but also because they allow me to stay connected with my community. I’m passionate about giving back to my peers and serving as a mentor to younger students.

I believe the best way to learn about the world is through exploration, and there's no better place to do that than New York City. Living here has pushed me to expand my horizons, embrace the unfamiliar, and take a more active role in navigating new experiences!
