Service Trip to Indonesia

In the January of 2024, I was given the opportunity to travel to Indonesia and learn about the realm of sustainable urban farming practices as well sustainable advocacy and education. I not only discovered innovative approaches to urban agriculture but also unearthed invaluable insights into translating these practices to rural environments. This trip was an immersive experience that showed me how culture should be taken into account when approaching a global problem and implementing a community-specific solution. Not only was I able to form lifelong connections with local Indonesians, but I learned invaluable lessons from the way that community members came together to tackle a community-wide issue.
